excuses for what?, its a free service no one is freloading or any such thing. If the owner feals his users are freeloading, he can at any minut close the site or revoke all acount and setup some form of p2v
Well no one is obligated to pay for SF, however the existance of this forum depends on us... it's not cheap to run this forum. I just have a problem with people coming up with every excuse to not pay other than just admitting they do not want to pay and do not care if SF dies.

I seem to recall March or early April being the time of the request for funds. The time mentioned was a year. 1100 for a year. So. Seeing as how the forums are still up and running months later without reaching its goal as of yet, it seems that we have until March or April of 2007. And then the calls for the next year's pledge drive must commence.... Maybe. Dave is notoriously tight-lipped. Practically mute.
Cheap is a relative term. I could write a check equal to 10 years site operation in a heartbeat. No pain. But that would oblige the site to even just the appearence of thankful deference to the very maw of Capitalist exploitation that the communitity's members fear more than being slapped silly by their mommies. I have to be sensitive to the needs of others, so I choose to abstain from complicating your lives unnecessarily.
