Russian Revolution

    I have come up with a thesis that not many people seem to agree with, at least not in the Historian perspective. It is this:

    That the Russian Revolution took 12 years to complete, that is from 1905 to October/November 1917.

    I think this is the case because it started off with Bloody Sunday in 1905 and finally lead to October/November revolution in 1917, when the Bolsheviks took power. The reason I think that the February/March "Revolution" was not a revolution was because the Provisional Government didn't change anything after the Tsar abdicated (the decrees changed nothing).


    Please give me your thoughts...

    I agree with that, I agree because 1905 was the first real putsch against the Romanov's, and the first proletariat uprisings. The country almost succumbed in 905, and it was the beginning of the end for Imperial Russia. The Russian revolution holistically took 12 years, but the actual revolution did not.
