It's alive, it's ALIVE! Mwhahahahaha! I have a few suggestions to make this place operate better and become more interesting. At the moment we are not particulary sunken, there have been worse times, but anyway: 1. Because Porfiry doesn't wish to sell this place I think he should appoint one more administrator that is more involved in the workings of Sciforums. Like JamesR for example. At the moment it is easier to contact some old Celtic god rather than Porfiry, but it's always good if an admin is reachable, and even moderators and supermoderators have trouble contacting him. We as a community need one person that is more active and can do admin stuff. 2. New moderators. Many of the existing ones are MIA. We need new ones and they should be ones with scientific, critical and rational thinking. 3. The new moderators shoud be active and not only look after the existing threads, but also popularise their own section of the sciforums by making interesting threads of their own. Keep their subforums interesting and active. 4. [Insert your own idea here]
We always get new members, that is not the issue. But we need to rise Sci quality if we want better/smarter members joining.
i see this place as kind of acting in a counterproductive way by calling itself "sciforums"...or maybe just the self labelling as a science forum. it is hardly such. a new moniker is needed, i think.
its a joke, anusface! but i do think that the "scientific community" label should be dropped. seriously, how many people get scientific discussion on this forum? you can watch my descent into idiocy if you read my posts chronologically...and i think that it is because of my surroundings...heh.
At the moment i feel like calling 95% of all sciforumers a fucking moron. Most of the times I delete it. Some slip through.

it's easier to contact the dead than porfiry as to the moderation: what happened to goofyfish? he(she?) was doing a good job of banning people and locking threads. my guess is goofyfish received so many PM's about his actions that he said 'fuck it' and left.
Well if you consider the fact that new registration is currently locked... that might explain a few things.
