God didn't change His mind. The Bible is His Word. His uncompromised word. Born-again Christians live by the New Covenant (New Testament.) Yes we are in the end times.

For anyone who misses the Rapture, make sure you get down on your knees right after it happens and accept Him. It won't be as bad as Hell, but it won't be anything like going up with the first group.

Why did He get is wrong the first time (old testament)? Calling it a new covenant doesn't change the fact that something must have been wrong with the first one.

He didn't get it wrong the first time. The old covenant (Old Testament-OT) is about God. The new covenant (New Testament-NT) is about his Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for His children. Even you.

If I were there, perhaps he wouldn't have died. I had no say in the matter. I strongly suspect that this human sacrifice was an evolution from the barbaric and irrational Middle Eastern custom of transferring all the guilt and wrongdoing of a society onto a goat, and then either killing it, or leaving it off in the wilderness to die.
