There's no mystery in Revelation. It can all be explained by astro-theological metaphor (also called myth).

I'm not quite sure if that is what Matt Marr did mean. I asked him, and he didn't reply. Perhaps he will reply to you. The Evening and Morning star metaphor is a nice one because it is a situation where there seem to be two things, but they are really the same thing, being the planet Venus of course. Also one is at the start of the day and the other is at the end.
Whether it's got anything to do with Revelations is another matter, but it's a lovely image, and it fits the theme of Alpha and Omega perfectly.
