...replacement for ISS?

    The moon is one of the hardest bodies in the solar system to make self-sufficient for humans - and it's one of the most useless. Telescopes are easier in orbit. Gardens are easier on earth. Spinning stations get you any gravity you want. I don't really see much opportunity.

    Is it just land you want? Go to Antarctica. A thousand times more hospitable, more resources, plenty of room. Is it science? Orbit generally works better. Is it just to have another home for humanity? Mars is a far better alternative.
