No axe to grind? LOL. Three quarters of the bullshit you post is grinding the axe on folks like Witten, Thorne, etc... and scholarship associated with mathematical physics. Which really is a subject you should avoid. One word comes to mind when I read your posts. Delusional.

I'll certainly vote for you as King of the kids the next time the position becomes vacant.

What a bunch of nonsense. The Higgs particles and the graviton are not the same thing by definition. The likelihood you can do any physic is pretty small. If you want to blow smoke you should provide some fire. IE let's see some of what you have.

I think I recall the staff saying people who repeatedly posted pseudo/crank science in the science sections would be barred from posting there.

Is that initiative still in effect?

This is a valid criticism of the idea, brucep. This also is Matt Strassler's basic objection.

It is also a weakness of the definition of the graviton that the force it imparts is uniquely unbalanced, and that it is not related at all to inertia.

And your posts are all nearly 100% solid mainstream science, right brucep? Some of them are. That one wasn't. You picked up a doppleganger. Make him say "brucep is right" again. It's some funny stuff.

You're just making shit up. Word salad. I read all the word salad you spewed in the beginning. If anything you've said is related to what you're referring to as your work then there can't be any physics involved. In quantum gravity the graviton is predicted to be the interaction boson for gravity. In the classical theory it's analog is gravitational radiation. It would constitute gravitational waves. It's not a Higgs particle and nothing you could ever show would say they constitute a duality.

How would you know what I wrote down was bad physics? You're a crank with a make believe idea.

I don't think that's the plan. It's not mentioned as an infraction in the 'Terms and Rules'. Bottom right hand corner below 'More Options'.

He needs medical attention asap. You do not argue with sick or unwell people, do you ? You argue with them only to give them medicine....keep the dose high till he gets back to normal.

bruce stands out as an Einstein when compared to your ignorance, stupidity, and pretentious self serving delusions.....and sensibly he has you on ignore as others do.
I won't use the ignore button although by adhering to that principal of mine, I do realise that when time comes for your banning/moderation, I could well go down with you.
I can only hope that if and when that time comes, the mods do see the larger picture with regards to your continuing childish game.

Because one demarcation of a SCIENCE is that it can withstand criticism. A demarcation of a crank or their pseudoscience is that they cannot.

The twin paradox demonstrates that there is a preferred reference. If there was no preferred reference, it would be a toss of the coin; random, as to which twin ages slower; stationary or moving reference would take turns aging slower based on the probability of a coin toss. This is not observed.

The fact that only the moving twin will age slower, shows he is a preferred reference. This preference is connected to the relativistic mass which is a measure of the relativistic energy within the preferred reference that is responsible for tangible changes in time.

In the twin paradox, neither twin becomes permanently shorter or smaller due to distance contraction. This is true even of the preferred reference. There is only a lag in time. Space-time is not exactly symmetrical; relativistic mass is connected to time.

Another hallmark of your average crank IS TO COMPARE THEMSELVES OR THEIR FRIENDS TO EINSTEIN.

What can anyone expect, when by the time moderation is a possibility, any pseudoscience science has been buried in pages of name calling.

Lack of past action of the mods on 'offenders' results in the present situation.
No matter how deep posts are buried the report button should bring them to the mods notice.
The mods will probably tell you to use the ignore thingy. I do for some here.
I reckon the report button just adds to the hits count of the site...In this life, one thing counts
In the bank, large amounts. Oliver, my boy.

If that's case then the site should be allow to implode. To think we are here because we agree to them there rules???

Another rajesh like dishonest interpretation, or in this particular case an "out of context" remark to create another dishonest scenario.
    What I said.....
"bruce stands out as an Einstein when compared to your ignorance, stupidity, and pretentious self serving delusions"
That same comparison could be made with near anyone in actual fact.
The way I see it, the mods give plenty of leeway....certainly too much in my opinion. This same poster now once accused me of faking/manipulating an E-Mail that happened to refute one of his many crazy claims. I was told [By James] after the culprit was directed to show evidence of his claim, [or retract it] to not to worry about it [or words to that effect] and to put him on ignore as everyone knew he was wrong. Needless to say, there has never been a retraction and never any evidence of such a claim.
From that point on, my view was that it was open slather to do and say what you like.

    Sad if that is true.

    Again sad if true.
I have often made the obvious comment that all forums, even science forums, are open to every Tom, Dick and Harry.
At first I agreed with the more lax rules on this site when compared to others like Cosmoquest. I was OK with the fact that we had sections for the "crazies" like alternative, pseudoscience, ghosts and Goblins etc.
But over recent times we have had many threads under many guises, posted in the science, maths, cosmology sections, when is is obvious to all, that it should be elsewhere in the fringes. In time most are eventually moved. But way too much leeway is given, and way too much time for said threads to stay in the science sections.
Check out the past members that have taken this "given leeway" and ran with it for all their worth....jcc is recent times, constant theorist, and who could forget chinglu?
All were given way too much leeway to infest the science sections with their crap.
As I have previously said [although advised differently] I don't use the ignore button and believe these trolls should be confronted.
I have also tried to refrain from giving back insults after I have received them and reported same. In some cases it is successful...in others not successful.
This inconsistency has me giving as good as I get, and in that regard, again I apologise to the forum for the disruption caused and my part in that.

The mods here do a reasonable job, and before our resident troll accuses me of arse sucking. at least three mods here have given me infractions that have resulted in bannings.
While doing a reasonable job, they are also apparently instructed to give the leeway that I have spoken of.
One inconsistency I have noticed is that sometimes "strict" behavioural standards are sometimes applied for short periods. Then it eventually gets back to the norm.

I was a bit confused because the three PHD moderators, Alphanumeric, Prometheus, and Ben the Man, would take care of that. Also members have been banned, forever, for trolling. I consider this a precedent. This set of rules may be a consequence of the forum changing format? It's tough to moderate a physics thread when you don't know much about the subject. So I'm going with the ignore function. The problem with that is the overwhelming response is towards the folks you have on ignore so it's hard to completely ignore the trolling and bullshit nonsense spewing out all their holes.

Another example of the juvenile intellect. Both Rajesh and danshawen are pushing the like button for posts that single them out as scientific illiterate cranks. LOL.
