Raw-Food approach has nothing to do with saving animals. Saving and protecting animals is great. But this is a biological approach. Many great atheletes abide by the raw food approach.

I created a chart back in 2004 that explains human biology: http://www.geocities.com/caliditta/humanfrugivore.htm

Humans can consume meat and processed stuff. Humans can eat glass. But all these things take a toll on the body.

American spend tons of money on medicals bills resulting from health problems resulting from SAD and overeating. (The sad Standard American Diet). It really is sad. Americans suffer the opposite of starving people in Etheopia. America and Etheopia suffers from opposite sides of the coin in terms of nutritional problems. Americans have access to better medicine. Thus obesity seems less severe. It's not. Overeating junk is just as bad as malnutrition.

Modern medicine saves lives. It is effective on combating deadly illnesses and injury. Natural medicine and natural nutrition is important for non-emergency ailments, chronic illness, and health/prevention.

A polluted body is susceptible to illness. Rats/roaches will not scurry into a clean sanitized room. They will scurry into a room full of garbage. Rotten foods and other junk. Cancer/disease will not scurry into a clean body.

Packaged food bought at stores with labeled chemical ingredients are poison to the body and mind. Narcotic drugs are illegal, but the poison in these prackaged products are more subtle. They deteriorate the body, screw up the brain for mental problems, and cause addiction. But nobody notices it. These products are just as poisonous as narcotic drugs. Most of the worst products are marketed directly to children. Get them addicted at an early age.

Humans consume many times more protein than their bodies need. Excess protein results in calcium deficiency which results in bone disease. Muscles are actually built from amino-acids which the body breaks down from protein. The best food for amino-acids that are easily assimilated are leafy greens.

Acids deteriorate the body. Alkalines energize the body. Meats, stress, junk food, and other acid producing substances damage the body. This results in brain disfunction, fatigue, and illness. High energy life comes from eating raw foods that are highly alkaline.
