Radical Islam : What is the fundamental motivation?

I mean read the bible and learn what YHWH says about Himself and Jesus. Read the Qur'an and learn what 'allah' says about himself and Jesus. Both have enough material for you to understand that YHWH is not 'allah'.

I've read the bible mate, and I call Him God. As someone pointed out, the Jews weren't foolish enough to give Him a name.

Quite interesting actually, this could be down to the tower of babylon so no one is worshipping the wrong God. That's good news, and my first response to this thread still stands.

If people want to find similarities between the tribes, they are always there. But unfortunately, most times people need to find differences. There are four billion jews in the world, but most people need to call each other something else at random. If Christian and Muslims weren't at each other's faces (again!), then it'd be between the Sunni and Shia, or the Protestants and Catholics (Northern Ireland, anyone?), or if no other excuse is available, Man United fans versus Liverpool fans. The excuses don't have to make sense in this grossly over populated world, where we're running around like too many hamsters in too small a cage.

We can talk about negative sociological trends in the current Middle East, but they got nothing to do with Islam. No more than witch burnings had to do with Christianity. Other tribes would use Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, idiocy ... sorry, I mean Scientology, or conservatism or socialism, and they have. But it doesn't matter what comma sentences one can find in ye ol' texts, the excuses don't even have to make sense. Hitler used Darwin and Nietzsche, and that sure as hell didn't make sense. Stop trying to find your own bollocks excuse for why "Muslims" (or what ever random fraction) are not your equal in the competition for the good life, 'cause that won't solve the problem, either. You wan't to understand what the problem is, go find a mirror, ape.

I was kinda interested in a rational debate about one of the two main candidates for WWIII in our time.

Russia will take out the US then lead an islamic coalition headed up by Iran against Israel. Israel will be defeated, then embrace the islamic antichrist who will establish a treaty between israel and the palestinians. Shortly thereafter he will proclaim himself to be God. This will set the stage for Armageddon and the return of Jesus Christ. As He returns, Christ will destroy the armies arrayed against Him, the Jews will receive Him as their Messiah and usher in a 1000 yr. Messianic Reign of Christ from Jerusalem.

There's a lot of flaws in that perceived scenario. One, Russia under Putin will probably never ally with Muslim fractions in the Middle East, not after having killed scores of Chechen Muslims over the last decade or so. And two, Jesus the Altruist died two millenia ago and has no influence on anything people do these days. Just like Muhammed the Instigator doesn't.

It's gonna be difficult to have a rational debate about this tremendously complex problem, if you're not capable of dealing with physical reality. Then you are exactly like the ones, you're afraid of. Can see the splinter in the eye of your brother, but not the bone in your hand. But then again, that's at the very heart of the problem at hand, isn't it? That human beings are not logical creatures, but biological creatures. That are running around like too many hamsters in too small a cage, desperate for a meaning that doesn't exist. Needing to believe in the adult version of Santa Claus. Because we are not biologically geared to deal with how the universe actually is: Completely and utterly indifferent with us.

 

I just described to you facts concerning physical reality. The problem is not my inability to deal with physical reality, but your inability to deal with spiritual reality.
