    (1) Bad boys rape our …..

    (2) On old Olympus’ topmost …

Extend either word string (or both if you can) by one word only. (Let some later comer extend it too.)

Copying string and added the next word in your post.
Also tell what in your history allowed you to do so correctly.
If you know another, start it as (3) with four words.
(Copy these instructions in your post too.)

PieAreSquared was first to know (1) but has not told why he knew.

He added all, but now has reduced it to:

    (1) Bad boys rape our young ....

I know the remainder, but not that I ever tried to remember all the nerves in the head

    It's just quite popular..

    So to follow your instruction:

    (1) Bad boys rape our young …..

    (2) On old Olympus’ topmost top

    (3) Haji LiNa Ka Arab ....

    ---------------------------
Extend either word string (or both if you can) by one word only. (Let some later comer extend it too.)

Copying string and added the next word in your post.
Also tell what in your history allowed you to do so correctly.
If you know another, start it as (3) with four words.
(Copy these instructions in your post too.)

Now...now... nobody has to answer number 3, I don't think anyone can, because it is written in Indonesian... BUT, if you can guess, though....! At least, if you don't know the rest, you can try to guess what am I referring to.. hint: a chemist will know it easily

p.s.: I put mine in bold, but feel free to remove the bold tag.

    To Inzomina:

I bet Haji is for Hydrogen in Indonesia? Correct?
Does your language have some name other than "Indonesian" ?

If your four are words, what do they translate to in English?

Haji is not Indonesian for Hydrogen, but you are right that I was referring to Hydrogen

In English, the four words in no. 3 (Haji LiNa Ka Arab) means "Hajj Lina go to Arab....". As you know, Hajj is a title for someone who has done pilgrim. Lina is popular Indonesian name. Arab in Indonesian is not referring to person, but refers to the country (Saudi Arabia).

    The complete sentence would be:

Haji Lina ka Arab, cemas Firaun (hajj Lina go to Arab, worries about Pharaoh)

= H Li Na K Rb Cs Fr

As you have guessed, that is the way I remember the first column of the periodic table of elements:

Now, when I say in Indonesian "Beli mangga, candak sirsak, bawa rambutan" (Buy mango, bring soursop, take rambutan", you know that I am not thinking of fruits

Indonesian is an English for Bahasa Indonesia, or simply Bahasa.

Do you have a special way in remembering the order of the periodic table of elements?

I never had a class in which we were required to do so, and I even went to a scientific university (California Institute of Technology, "CalTech").

However, those of us who tried to memorize the periodic table went by rows, not columns, and we remembered their names rather than using mnemonic devices. Most of the elements have English names that match their symbols. Major exceptions (that I can remember without consulting the chart) include Sodium (Na = Latin Natrium), Gold (Au = Latin Aurum), Silver (Ag = Latin Argentum), Mercury (Hg = Latin Hydrargum), Tin (Sn = Latin Stannum), Lead (Pb = Latin Plumbum), Antimony (Sb = Latin Stibnum),) Potassium (K = German Kalium from Arabic Al-kali), and Tungsten (W = German Wolfram).

Well gee, I guess that's more than a few.

I never got beyond the first two rows, but then I always got dismal grades in chemistry.

Today I can only remember the first row: H -- He.

Please copy all this at top of your post for later posters to use.
Extend by ONE word ONLY, if mnemonic is in use (not new). Explain it for others when you complete it.
Add all you can to new mnemonic we are inventing. (You can replace prior words to make it longer.)
Start a new one, known or to be invented, and see completed mnemonics in posts 11, …

    Mnemonics still needing extensions:

    (1) Bad boys rape our young …
    (2) On old Olympus’ topmost top …
