    1. why do we close our eyes when we sneeze?
    2. why do we sneeze when we go out into the sunshine from the relatively dark inside of our houses..?
    3. why do we itch when there is no apparent reason for it.. no allergic reactions, no skin problems, no temp variations... no reason for it yet you have to scratch...?
if anyone has any ideas on the subjects please let me know...

    1. why do we close our eyes when we sneeze?

So that we can't see where all the crap that comes out hits! That way we can say we are sorry that we sneezed on someone because we weren't looking.

    2. why do we sneeze when we go out into the sunshine from the relatively dark inside of our houses..?

We don't want the crap that comes out all over the house, it would take time to clean it all up.

    3. why do we itch when there is no apparent reason for it.. no allergic reactions, no skin problems, no temp variations... no reason for it yet you have to scratch...?

Because sometimes the clothes you wear, like cotton underwear, will cause you to want to scratch your crotch or other parts of your body. Clothes will cause irritations that cause scratching.

Feel how thin and easy to move your eyelid is.
Do you think that will make all the difference to your eyes popping out?

I always sneeze with eyes open while driving.

    Dunno.

I believe that happens with about 10% of the population. (I'm one of them.) I remember hearing something about a scientist at UC San Francisco studying it who seems to have determined that it's probably inherited and genetic. I don't know any more than that.

I don't know the answer to that either. But there's obviously a big psychological component to it. Sometimes when I start thinking that there's some part of me that I can't scratch, that particular spot starts insistently itching. The thing is, it wasn't itching until I had the thought. (If I ever had to wear a cast, I'd probably die.)

Perhaps the light outside causes us to sneeze from the relative "darkness" inside: the pupils widen in the dark to allow more light to enter. This is apparent when viewing people with night-vision (i.e. when viewing with night-vision, not viewing "people with night vision.")
