Power from Plants

    Very very cool - could make for some good utilization of otherwise unused roof spaces if they can up the power harvested!

    Would you have a "plant power" roof, if it could help offset your power costs somewhat?

    I have a solar-PV roof; it's probably cheaper overall than a "plant power" roof. Especially since we live in a climate where it would take a LOT of water to keep it healthy in the summer.

    True, true - I imagine this would be highly climate-specific.

    I wonder though... if this could be done with garden vegetables... could you perhaps have a vegetable garden on your roof and collect power on the side... though they say it works best with rice-paddy style setups... hm...
