What's the connection? With which fire? The dumpster? The little harmless bonfire on an asphalt intersection? random firecrackers? Or the one you allege of a building with people inside? 'Connection with' and 'a fire' are pretty vague charges. Also, of course, we don't know that these are genuine protesters, paid provocateurs, reckless vandals, emotionally disturbed persons, anarchists, or opportunistic troublemakers.
However, any of these an many other charges should be laid, arrests and investigations carried out by local police, who are both competent and willing to do their job, without federal interference.
'Deployment' of federal forces against the express wishes of the local authority is an act of territorial aggression.

Janus and his family are on the spot and that is what he says. If you want to challenge that, it is best for you to do so with him.

But I would also draw your attention to the fact that the city authorities and the state governor both oppose the use of these federal goons, to the point of going to law about it. So they clearly don't think it's sufficiently out of hand to warrant these measures. And they should know.

We might also keep in mind that such ill-defined legal categories as "domestic terrorism" are often invented by regimes with dictatorial agendas. The purpose of such an elastic compendium of 'crimes' is to intimidate the populace into accepting the regime's instituting new, unaccountable enforcement agencies and providing such agencies with lavish funds, immunity from prosecution and sweeping powers to operate outside normal jurisprudence.
Whatever is done to the hapless citizen, he has no defense and no recourse.

The thugs are costing taxpayers and U.S. citizens millions of dollars. They are trampling on the right of the people to peacefully assemble.

The feds didn’t arrive until July 1st. This attack occurred before their arrival.

As I said before, like it or not…it is an act of domestic terrorism.

Shame on you for defending violent thugs.

They're protecting our federal buildings. That is their territory.

You and exchemist aren't even U.S. citizens, are you?

And because of people like you - their protests are getting nationwide attention. Their tactics are working.

You need to learn to play the ball, not the man.

As I said, Janus is on the spot and has commented on the real situation, and the city and state authorities oppose Trump's action. Those points of mine still stand, even I live on a planet in the Alpha Centauri system.

BLM inspired laws have been passed in 24 states. Seems to be working - largely because of people like you.

Then deal with my points, rather introducing the distraction of where I live.

BLM inspired them. The video inspired them. Empathy inspired them. Logic inspired them, not the violence and the looting.

The violence and the looting got them on TV. People saw that. People were inspired.

Is it sad that it takes looting and violence to get on TV? Yes, it is. But that's how our society is structured now.

Yeah, people are inspired to put an end to it.

The silent majority will vote for the bad ringmaster, as Jeeves put it.

Yes, they are. And if that takes a mayor saying "Stop killing black people or you will spend your life in jail!" to the police that work in his city, then that's what he will do. Again, it's sad that it takes the threat of violence to make such a thing happen, but that's where we are.
The silent majority will vote for the good ringmaster, as it did last time.

You forgot 'mad'. While lunacy is not a prerequisite of dictatorship, it's a great motivator.
