Well, you know being celibate can NOT cause rape. You know porn to glorify sex. I wouldn't say 'causes', more along the lines of 'can lead to' because it is related to sexual activity where one is agressive and the other is passive (in the case of two-people porn), which is similar to rape.

Well, since they can't be equally agressive, I would assume one would be found to be relatively passive to the other's agressive stance. Porn is the artificial visualisation of sexual fantasies, and they would range from the timid to the extremely outrageous; even rape, even murder. But it's only depicting fantasy, right? Lascivious fantasy, but fantasy just the same; Hollywood does it all the time and is respected for it. Depictions of fantasy, such as in novels and movies, can, stir the emotions, feed the psyche, provide insights, stimulate the brain etc. It's just that porn, specialises in stimulating sexual desires. But I believe it can only stimulate what is already there in the subconscious. I am in no doubt that some men might find scenes of violent rape sexually appealing, but I'm also pretty certain that most intelligent men would not care to view such scenes if they had a choice. The thing is, that every fantasy; every fetish, is out there, in pornoland, catering to every whim and taste and of course it can get pretty gross, but as long as all it does is to provide an outlet for self release (of subdued desires), then it's probably even a good and healthy thing to use in moderation (like red wine). I agree. However, going by that logic, the opponents bring up the connection that Porn creates the fantasy that leads to rape. Before the video era, it was the porn novels that caused the rape and now, it is the video. The same group do not like to say that violence depicted in movies causes murder or atleast bullying and physical violence. And also neglect to mention that rape is not sexual fantasy fulfilled but violence fulfilled. Every rape case in the court look for violence to prove the case and hence defines rape as physical violence. Remove the violence from the society then you can remove the rape. Western society looks down on pronography the same reason it controls plants such as marijuana, or any real pain killers or mood enhancing products.
