Growing up with dogs who had a job (herding cattle or for hunting) I can't disagree with that. If I ever had a lap dog, it better be able to catch mice.
There are so many mixes that I doubt I could pick out just the pit bulls from a lineup. Some dogs that I think are, aren't.

I have very little space to talk, since I've never owned a pit bull. That stated, I think that nurture does play the main role in pit bulls' behavior (along with other dogs) and that even though this breed was bred to fight for the most part, you have to remember that all dogs are bred from the FERAL wolf. Even if it's as bad as some say, that could change with (drumroll) more breeding for more docile animals. But then again it would just be a new breed after awhile.
Should such people be allowed to breed and be in the care of human children? Not in the least, but people are freely allowed to breed and have children; often people who have no business having children. No, you fucked that fat, greasy 15 sandwich eating husband of yours and created something to love you. Same difference. Get off your high horse. Cope, she's not smart enough to realize that. I didn't have kids because I was desperate for someone to love me.
