    You'll note this is a tattoo quoting Leviticus. Why is this ironic? Well, also from Leviticus comes this;

    (Lev. 19:28):

    You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the LORD.

    I'd call that a Hindi youth, taking back his culture's ancient symbol.

    Maybe but recent history should give him pause about how others might take it. I sure would want to be caught wearing that T-shirt.

    Okay, this one is actually from a building where I work. To understand the true irony, you have to know where this sign is located. It located by a locked door which can only be reached by either going through a another locked door into a cluttered storeroom and then up a wall mounted ladder or by climbing two stories via a metal spiral staircase(Which is difficult in itself to find) and then crossing a catwalk.

    As I recall, the symbol of the Eternal Buddha is a reversed swastika and that colour scheme is definitely third Reich. :shrug:

    from the wikipedia entry:
    It also comes in other colours, but most often red. Quite possibly - probably, given the smirk - the young man intended to be ironic.
    Still, it's hardly fair for a decade of very bad government in one little country to supersede 3000 years and billions of people's tradition.
