The actor does the deed for some satisfaction.
So that means to me that an evil deed goes hand in hand with an evil thought.

By "don't worry about it" do you mean that I actually should worry about it or that I should think about it but without stress or that you aren't going to respond because you can't define the word I asked you to define?

Maybe you could answer another question on behalf of yourself and many of the others in this thread? What do you get out of these threads?

A reason why you deny God that you know exists?

I think you perhaps misinterpret my words.

I was talking about evil etc so I dont know why you came up with your question.

    Its all made up Jan.

    You accept it I dont.

I dont know what to say in reply to "that you know exists" as it may be as hard for you to accept my view of reality as it as hard for me to accept your reality.

I cant believe someone can believe it is just so crazy to me and of course you think of me that I must believe cause you can fathom other wise.

It is hard to walk in anothers shoes particularly if they dont fit but thats what you need to do... everyone... understanding others helps construct tolerence and tolerence gives one inner peace.
Inner peace aids good health which translates to daily happiness.

What do you mean by "first"? Many people have already answers many of your questions over the years so I can't be "first". That is self-evident and not requiring of evidence.

It seems you like messing with theists, but can't stand being messed with.

Just because you have no justification for anything, doesn't necessarily mean your in denial, even though you could easily be, and probably likely to be.

    Thats ok.
I dont mind a game Jan but you might have to point out when being funny, I find I have to do that almost all the time.
I am getting better dealing with theists I am starting to see them as real people.
Now I know you are joking.

Because that's how faith works. Isn't it?

Yes Jan but in my case I have presented an irrefutable presentation showing that stuff was made up such that even you can not deny the point that I have made so asking you to have faith is not as unreasonable as some situations where an inoccent is asked to have faith. I offer a factual basis when I ask you to have faith in my conclusion.

No. That's not how faith works, and you have not presented anything to show why you are steadfast in your acceptance of the Bible being made up.

    Jan Ardena:

Lying? I was referring to your posted definition here:

    http://sciforums.com/threads/perfectly-evil-god.158221/page-10#post-3419887

Definition 6 says "goodness" is a euphemism for God. And definition 1 says that "goodness" is "the state or quality of being good". You appear to be relying on (1) when you say that "God is Goodness", but I think you're relying on (6). Moreover, you do not belief that God is a state or quality. you believe God is a non-human being. You've been emphasising that for the entire thread, remember.

As for the rest of the definitions, are you saying that God is Excellence of Workmanship? Or is God, perhaps, Kindly Feeling? Or Moral Excellence? Is God just a quality, or a bunch of qualities then? And, if so, why isn't God Good?

Oh, but wait. God is Goodness, but not Good. Obviously a vital and important distinction that I'm sure you'll explain.

It's not clear to me that this man slaughtered a being for nothing but his pleasure. He seems to have done it to please his family and friends, to feed the needy etc.

Are you are meat eater yourself, Jan? If so, why do you eat meat? For reasons other than your own pleasure, I suppose. Unless you're not Goodness, that is.

Or God is evilness, and is the quality or essence of what is evil. That's if God can be a quality at all, which is a dubious proposition. And then there is no "goodness", only good or right. And even if there is a quality of goodness, it is only in relation to being evil.

What if God is the standard of evil, because God is evilness personified? Then, as I have suggested previously, goodness is the aberration, because, after all, God is apparently the Standard by which we must judge these things.

You're entitled to think what you like. But 'Goodness' being a mode (guna), is part of the vedic philosophy. It is accompanied by two other gunas, or modes, namely 'Passion' and 'Ignorance' (notice there is no mode of 'evil'). It is not something I just came up with for the purposes of this discussion.

I gave an example of the difference between 'good' and 'goodness'. We can be good, even if we are evil.
Activities can be seen as 'evil', though they be done in the mode of goodness.

God isn't human, so we cannot apply good or evil to Him, which is why your challenges are so easy.

We use the word 'goodness' in our vocabulary, without relating to God, so it's meaning can relate to that usage. But the primary definition shows why I say that saying God is '' good or evil'', is not relevant in serious discussion about God.

    It is still pleasure.

    I don't eat meat.

'Evil' is ignorance. The man who slaughtered another being for pleasure, doesn't know the extent of his actions. He would probably never dream of taking the life of a member of his family to eat on Thanks Giving. In fact I bet he would think that was an evil act. But he doesn't realise that the only difference between his family members and that turkey, is the body.

James, why are you arguing this point. Is it not reasonable assumption (at least) that God is not ignorant of anything (should God exist)? Why do you insist on the opposite?

There is no such standard. 'Evil' is what humans do. God is not human.

It is I just know it works the way I believe.
I have so show me where I haven't shown its all made up.
I know I am right Jan and its a really strong feeling so there is no way that I could be wrong.

No but God was made up by humans and if the author who made God up so decrees God can be evil.
