Solution: go buy useless possessions such as: cheap plastic chairs...a useless not working hardrive...a broken tv set....and a pair of mice...than throw everything away, that way youll have useless stuff to throw away. Whats good about this offer is that you will probably never catch the mice...so you will always have useless possessions running around the house!

O wait....u said you have many useless possessions already? No problem...make them useful.

You were manipulated in believing you needed them.

I know. And I thought I was so shrewd and above that sort of thing.

I wish I had no TV set like you.

You can send yours to me. If it is a LCD or flatscreen at least 32" wide. Otherwise do not bother.

    I won't bother.

Incidentally, I understand that you recently purchased a copy of the BBC's 'Planet Earth' nature documentary series. I also understand that you enjoyed it (or the first episode, at least) very much, but that's not pertinent here.

What I want to know is: did you view it by holding the discs up to sunlight and carefully examining the electro-magnetic patterns? I take it for granted that you had no use for expensive and unnecessary electronic viewing equipment.

I watched it on my computer LCD screen. 19". With a 2.1 loudspeaker system of very modest qualities and price.

Is the screen a Dell? Mine's a Dell. Dell screens are fantastic. I note with interest that I can now purchase a 24" widescreen model for the same price that my 19" one cost me. And that my 19" one now sells for the same price that an 8" monochrome cost at the time of purchase. Isn't capitalism wonderful?

Also I've just purchased some Logitech Z-2300s.

    200 frickin' watts.

Would any other left-feeling* people like to join me and spurious in this exercise in hypocrisy?

    * I was going to put 'left-thinking' - but that would make me a fascist.

The brand of the LCD is nextgen. It's a bit crap. Not bad and not great.

Loudspeakers are logitech X210. The 50 watt version.

I would love to, but I have to apologize to my girl first.

I've been distracted with perfect picture from my Dell Ultrasharp 30" and crystal clear sound from my Creative MegaWorks speakers, so I spill my martini on her new dress.

I must figure some nice present... Phone with diamonds, perhaps?

I pity you Plazma. You have to look at all the crap on this forum an a Dell Ultrasharp 30" bring all that crap to life-like turd-like qualities right in your face. Fortunately for you sciforums doesn't come with sound.
