I have these Enermax Magma 120mm fans, supposedly great! And all would be well if they ran normally, but one already developed a weird shaking and I had to toss it, then the new one (as well as old) report bizarre RPMs. Sometimes I can get them running reporting normal RPM speeds, but the heatsink one runs and claims 3000rpms, then 40258rpms and all kinds of weirdness. I was wondering what you all think of this? I believe it may be due to magnetic interference or something because when I remove the fan and hold it the problem goes away!

Is there some kinda tachometer inside that measures RPMs? Why would it be so f'd up being mounted to alumnium heatsink? Just very weird...... may need to buy some other ones now :(
