New biography of Pavlov by Daniel P. Todes (Oxford Univ. Press). In it he described the work of psychologist Thomas B. Watson used Pavlov's terms "conditioned reflex" and "unconditioned reflex" for his (Watson's) theories. In this book Todes points out that these terms were mistranslations (from Russian) of Pavlov's terms, which were "conditional reflex" and "unconditional reflex".

What are the implications for psychology of this error?
