Recently the company I work for set the proxy server to cache web pages.
(it seems that way, anyway. when I go to a web site an old page shows up and I have to manually refresh it. this wasn't the case before)

I DO have my browser (IE) set to check for a new page at every visit.

Is there a way to override the proxy so my browser will check the server for a new page at every visit rather than use the cached page?

Is there anything else (locally) that could be causeing this behavior?

    thanks

Fraid your out of luck, what you describe is controlled by the proxy. Get the bypass IP from a friendly Admin! It is possible to configure mst proxyservers to stop this unwanted behaviour..
