My opera bookmarks - actually half of it, or perhaps a little more than half - has disappeared! I have no idea as to why this might happen. And I am unable to restore it. Any tips or suggestions? Firefox has a restore option from which you can recover bookmarks from around last seven sessions or so. opera doesn't seem to have this option.
I did not register there because some had already asked similar questions, but for the most part they don't seem to be too helpful. There are a lot of generic advices like "backup bookmark regularly" etc. But why should bookmarks disappear in the fist place? The most helpful advice came from an unrelated website. Basically it was to go to application data folder for opera and then rename some of the .tmp files to .adr and then import it. Earlier there were only 50% of the bookmarks, now with that method I would say it there are 75%- 80% of bookmarks. But the remaining 20% bookmarks are still missing. I also tried system restore before, but that didn't help.
@ DNA100 ...well...80% is better than it was... On a side note, I have utilized Opera for years and have yet to experience what I now find seems to be a fairly common "quirk" with the browser. later...
