    Nothing is a paradox.

Excellent argument maghical realist. One can never witness "nothing" because the one will be present, meaning there is at least something. It is with this argument in mind that I wish to state my opinion: there can never be nothing. It cannot be stated or categorized (i.e. named), witnessed or even BE, it just IS NOT!

    This may be part of the answer;
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Necessity_and_sufficiency

IMO, this equivalence holds on a metaphysical (Immaterial) level as well.
Fundamentally the universe, the singularity with infinite Potential, functions as a duality, the absolute minimum Material or Immaterial equivalence. Necessity and Sufficiency. Not Nothing but a Zero State.

Not even zero. It cannot be categorized, quantified or named. It is . It does not exist.

Well if you take a scale and place the same amount of weight on each side, you will observe a zero state between two forces.. The scale will remain motionless forever, timelessly in a zero state of balancing forces.

I agree. They cancel each other. But what will the scale read as it's measurement?? ;-p

A *zero state* regardless of mass or energy, as long as they are perfectly balanced.

Break this zero state by a single atom and you get *symmetry breaking* and some of the matter and energy spills from the scale and the Universe unfolds mathematically as dynamic matter and energy.
But some matter and energy remains in the scale as Dark Matter and Dark Energy

One atom cannot form other atoms.

check out my theory on dimensions at:
    http://www.sciforums.com/threads/working-model-of-the-universe-dimensions-gravity-and-energy.154081/
although I don't state it I ve been messing with the idea that all life skips along dimensionaly into the infinitely small when you die. Meaning that at your death moment time slows down to a near stop and picks up for the quark dimension you descend into. I'm still working on it though.
Space has the four forces built into it like a density that allows for the atoms and the EMR to move within confined limits i.e. the speed of light, fusion, etc.. Each change in dimension is a dramatic change in the 'density' of space. When a quark leaves the universe wall it expands because of the density of space in the new dimension it is in. The quark then becomes a block of void that creates space in the outside dimensional universe. It takes time to expand and its density adds pressure to the surrounding space, this pressure in empty space is what causes gravity.

I disagree! There must be something within a rolling paper that is also within say a computer. Computers have problems with the current equations used for calculations. Perhaps they have a virus. I prefer the written word because it combats such problems with the computer brain...

Sorry, I have been too involved in *spiritual* allegory. In the beginning there were no atoms at all, there were no particles to form atoms yet. That's why I used the Yoda avatar.

But you missed the point completely. The point was that when an *imbalance* occurs the *Whole* becomes dynamically unstable as opposed to *zero state*.

It conflicts logic. I'm the simplest manner hatred deals with disbelief but it is a ore of disbelief.

IF I erase my first post I will not know it is there. I will not know if posting works or not. Ok so that's done. I don't know it works. I believe the fact remains in the statement that it does work, I just don't know it. It works!

And oddly, it all works mathematically.

Now that should tell you something, which religion cannot explain, unless Divine Will is identified as the Mathematical Functions of the Universe.

But that would negates prayer and offerings (blood sacrifice) as useless practices which will not in any way influence the way the Universe functions.

Reality is self-aware/ God. Whatever you project through the fire of your tongue will return an output through the function of the universe. So you are only half correct. INTERCESSION WORKS!
