I am nothing, yet I am everything.

I am the moon and the stars in the sky. I am the snow on a cold early morning. I am the leaves blowing in the wind. I am the sun on a warm summer day. I am love and I am anger. I am pleasure and I am pain. I am joy and I am sadness. I am that and much, much more.

I am nothing, yet I am everything.

i doubt that. your life allows for this type of view. for instance, if you are insane in a mental ward or dying of starvation or in a coma etc, then you wouldn't be having your type of view or experience.

You asked me what can go wrong with being spiritual and now you provide the evidence.
With respect you are not the Moon and the stars...
You are not snow, nor leaves nor are you the Sun...
I will leave it there...for that part.

You seem happy but you also sound way out there come back before you hurt yourself.

I have no desire to hurt myself or others. Quite the opposite, truly. Also, I am quite firmly grounded to the Earth.

You are basically just repeating Taoist philosophy from the Tao Te Ching.

Well, thank you. I was watching the rain earlier, but my options right now are to either watch television or spend time with you. You seem much more interesting.

Maybe you should read Taoist philosophy from the Tao Te Ching once again--in between climbing walls, that is.

    You are most kind.
And upon that may I say kindness is a virtue that when cultivated produces wonderful results.
I am in the bush and its been raining over the last week and there is nothing better than listening to rain on an iron roof.
And its raining because I bought a whole new astro imaging set up...
That's about as spiritual as I can get.
    What is your favorite hobby?

Honestly if I could work out how to establish a religion such that I could get the benefit of the no tax thing I would go for it.
I would not use a God but list little things that may help folk cope and be content.
The tax advantages of a religion are not to be sniffed at...even without a large following...but with a following of say 10,000 small donations from folk who liked the product would generate an income I could use to help folk in need, after I purchased more astro gear, an observatory and other stuff...actually thinking about it I don't need more...maybe a van to get out someplace where it hardly ever rains...but I could buy one today really.

Thank you. That's absolutely the coolest thing ever. When I was younger a neighbor kid took me out to the school field with his telescope. It was nothing short of being amazing...a wonderful gift.

I've had many over the years. I do them until I get bored, then move to something new. Don't have anything going on at this time.

I think the best things in life are absolutely free. Went to a comet party years back at the river where astronomers had setup their equipment for everyone to view. There were telescopes of all kinds there.

If you were a religion, with donations, you would get a mansion (in the religion's name of course), a fleet of jets and more astromony equipment than you need because, well, that's just how it's done!

Sit under the stars and conptemplate all you can see.

Try and imagine a stick without ends and hold the stick and imagine what things it may pierce as you look along it as it reaches out there.

Hold up a grain of sand at arms length and know that where ever you cover hides thousands of galaxies.

Balance the understanding of your insignificance with a the joy that you are nevertheless important and special.

Most of all know that from your perspective your existence is eternal and that is a truth few realise for when you think about it you can't comprehend your arrive on the planet nor will you perceive your departure.

If you are unlucky, you might be able to get pretty close to perceiving your departure.

You could think that but no..not me at least.
    I have all I want.
If I won the lottery today I would not even change my car..a 1200 cc Hyundai..
Maybe another $10,000 on a different astro set up...but probably not.
I may put up a few tiny homes to help folk who find themselves homeless ... But I love a simple life without the clutter of stuff...you get it you have to clean it etc.
    Would interfere with my thinking.

OK, well, I'm sorry but that disqualifies you as a religion.

I'm arriving from a situation where I was earning a lot of money, but really wasn't any happier. I'm not saying that money is a bad thing, but I just could not buy what I needed.
