I've noticed that stupid people tend to ask questions which they don't want to hear the answers to. Which of course is also dishonest... but that's really your problem anyhow.

I can understand that he is loyal to spurious forums and might currently be spamming it up to promote it. Looking at Nik's posting history even farther back than spurious forums existence shows similar results. It of course leads to the question of why? I hope Nik responds at some point.

I dont see any reason why anyone who wants to post here cant just go ahead and do it at their leisure. The mods are the ultimate judge of whether a person really belongs here or not, they seem to not mind him so obviously he is welcome here.

I agree. I think anyone whom wants to participate should be able to post at their leisure. Nik doesn't really seem to be participating and with 10,000+ posts of non-participation (which is an increadible trend) I would like to know why he's here. I am not trying to witch-hunt Nik into a ban. I am not trying to say that Nik is a bad person. I am questioning whether Nik and this site are a good match for each other and what Nik's motivation is to post in the manner that he does?

 

Well it would seem that you assume your definition of participation is the same as everyone elses. Nik may not post long in depth posts, but he is funny, and after hours of reading unhumorous and pedantic babbling sometimes I need a good laugh.

 

I am all for comedy breaks, non-sequiteurs, random silliness... etc. It's good to have that be a part of people's presence but it shouldn't solely define them. I can't imagine you came to a science site solely to be entertained by one liners. There is one exercise that I would ask of you so you can see what I am seeing. Take a look through Nik's posts (any / all of them) and find a single one one that contributes to knowledge, critical thinking, research, help, etc. If you find a single one, I will apologize and drop this thread.

 

Hm, interesting. For good measure, I put him on ignore for personal attack. This thread proves that I am not missing out on anything...

By the way if I wanted to get more people over there, I would just PM the posters whom I like. After all you need only a few people for a good conversation....

He might be resentful because alot of people (I am assuming are his friends) have ended up there because of bans. That might of course impact the way he promotes things.
