    Nickelback's less loved moment

I am no Nickelback fan (their songs put me to sleep) but that is still way uncool. Like a certain artist or not the worse thing you can do is disrespect whatever their craft is, in that manner. They were doing their job and they were doing it fine and to be an ungracious audience like that is just rude and not rock like at all.

If they knew Nickelback would be on the show then why go in the first place. If your band is up afterwards then wait through it like a true fan, not a snobby bastard.

I didn't it find it funny.

Personally, I'm utterly antagonistic towards them ever since I first heard their "never made it as a wise man..." yadda song, that line sucks, it's soooo cliche and the rest of the song is a cliche. The band is a cliche and it really doesn't sound like they are attempting to sound different, and it's really not like it's bad not to be different, but my whole point I guess would be that as much as I hate them ( no actually not them, the music...god I really hate the music ) I really cannot blame them. They are who they are, they play the music they like and they did not force their way into the air waves nor did they kill anyone to get on a stage.

They did not do anything wrong, and they are not to blame. Blame the record labels that hire and promote such bands. They are the ones deciding and imposing these trends upon an increasingly ignorant consumer society which knows of nothing else but comfort from the hands of these people in charge of the marketing. Blame the shallow ideals of the masses and their preference for all things instantaneous and conveniently wrapped. Blame the lack of initiative to search for higher and more noble art forms and the conformity that attempts to force each and every individual into the mold of homogeneity, which deprives them of a cleaner and more pure self-awareness.

There is nothing else to prove, it's not Nickelback's fault for getting stones thrown at them. They are nothing but hired guns, means to an end.

Let us instead throw rocks at these corporate pigs in charge of the entertainment industry, not to mention the government. They are to blame not because they might be ignoring the better things to come for the people, but because they are instead choosing puppets to convey their evil and rotten intentions of controlling the collective conscience of entire populations with their factory made reality shows and mass produced Britney Spears clones. Not only that, but they have gone on to infect Rock music which from its humble beginnings started out as a means to protest against oppression and promote the free human spirit. I've still to know who let these evil capitalist monsters take over or when this happened, but if we must do something then let's boo them off the stage now!.

Here in Portugal; they showed up at a death-metal festival and got stoned. Honestly... HUGE festival with people like Dimmu Borgir and they got thrown stones at.

    Not funny.

This is a tribute to Nickelback, the goverment and the "Ads by Google" B.S. that appears below the most recent post in every thread

    we are building a religion
    we are building it bigger
we are widening the corridors and adding more lanes
we are building a religion, a limited edition
we are now accepting callers for these pendant keychains

    to resist it is usless
it is useless to resist it
his cigarette is burning but he never seems to ash
    he is grooming his poodle
    he is living comfort eagle
you can meet at his location but you'd better come with cash
now his hat is on backwards
he can show you his tattoos
he is in the music business
    he is calling you "dude!"

now today is tomorrow and tomorrow today
and yesterday is weaving in and out

    and the fluffy white lines
    that the airplane leaves behind
are drifting in right in front of the waning of the moon

    he is handling the money
    he is serving the food
    he knows about your party
    he is calling you "dude!"

now, do you believe in the one big sign?
    the double wide shine
on the boot hills of your prime?
doesn't matter if you're skinny, it doesn't matter if you're fat
you can dress up like a sultan in your onion head hat

    we are building a religion
    we are making a brand
we're the only ones to turn to when your castles turn to sand
take a bite of this apple mr. corporate events
take a walk in the jungle of cardboard sheddies and tents
some people drink pepsi, some people drink coke (coke)
the wacky morning dj says democracy's a joke
he says, "now do you believe in the one big song?"
he's now accepting callers who would like to sing along
he says, "do you believe in the one true edge
by fastening your safetybelts and stepping towards the ledge?"

    he is handling the money
    he is serving the food
    he is now accepting callers
    he is calling me "dude!"

do you believe in the one big sign?
the double wide shine on the boot hills of your prime?
there's no need to ask directions if you ever lose your mind
we're behind you, we're behind you
and let us please remind you
we can send a car to find you if you ever lose your way

    we are building a religion

    we are building it bigger

    we are building a religion

Bet they won't be showing up at any death metal venues again anytime soon. I can understand you not liking that they're getting booed at their concerts (who were they opening up for in the original post?), but a death metal festival? Who are they trying to kid? At best they're they're teeny-bopper pop. What in the hell makes them think the death metal crowd will respect their presence? Personally, I can't stand their music and would like to see their guts ripped out. But, if they open up for Brittany Spears or something, at least they're staying in their own league and I'll leave them alone.

What did they expect? Why did they show up at a Death Metal festival
in the first place. They were begging for a beating.

I think that it must be hard for them to get booed in their own concerts.

But I would have thrown something at the too when they would show up on a Death Metal festival I visit. Who wouldn´t. It looks like they are idiots.

Yeah, the clip was of the death metal concert. They should fire their manager for booking them into that show. Stick with their candy crowd and they'll do fine.

I wonder if they were invited or if their manager wormed them in. If they were invited, it was probably just to get footage like this.

I can't see the clip. Is it portugal? Do you see any text in a poster or anything? Or stones?

Yeah, it's portugal and they're throwing stones. He get's fed up and says "Are there any Nickelback fans in Portugal?" No reply except rocks and boos. "See ya." In the lower left corner of the screen there's a yellow i with a red and blue ellipse around it. 14.01 under it. The narration is in spanish or portuguese (sorry, can't tell the difference.) Don't see any posters though.

The video is actually some kind of funny (not for Nickelback that´s sure).
A very nice departure from stage isn´t it?

But somehow, the behaviour of the lead singer is somewhat pathetic.

I kinda had an inkling that it might be portugeuse, but I've never studied portuguese, I have learned some spanish, but have forgotten most of it through disuse. What are the main differences? Is it just a word or two here and there?

I´m asking myself, were Sentenced (one of my favorite death metal bands) playing before Nickelback?
Because this song kind of fits:

It dwells in my heart, the eternal hate
To get your share just wait (and see)

There are no strangers in this world
    only bastards I haven't met
...and my skeptic way of thinking
turns away the joys they shed

It dwells in my heart, the eternal rage
And now I'll blast it on your face!

    I'll throw the First Rock
    - Blacken your world and your sun

    I'll throw the First Rock
    I'll throw the first one
    You'll crumble to the ground
As I throw the rock that brings you

    down

Sentenced - I´ll throw the first rock

Wow, this is my 1111th post.

    "Nickelback booed of stage"
They're bored of the stage? Maybe if we paint a shiny color they won't mind?
