    Qualifications?

Oh, well...if we must... I attended Julliard, of course... graduate of the Harvard School of Economics. I travel extensively. I lived through the economic meltdown in 2008 and had a pretty good time during that! Not to mention that I've seen Battleship Potemkin about 113 times - and it keeps getting funnier! Every single time I see it! Not to mention the fact that you're talking to a commie here! Now what do you think?! Do you think I'm qualified?

Although, in all seriousness: hey. I'm in academia. I have something like 15 papers on the go. Three major projects, all in different areas of genetics. I worked for one of the best biologists of the nation I was in (no peeking!), and also for kind of an ass. I've reviewed for something like 20 frigging journals at different points. I write fiction and work constantly. I edit articles all the time. Frankly, I can handle the idea of being the semi-point man for dictum on shit and sugar in the forum. It would make me less liked? Fire away.

    ****

Froth in frustrated fury as I tip the scales and your fecund threads slide greasily away to their eternal home, the Cesspit!

Thrill as I slap on my Mod Hat and pronounce
    "That's enough, Vkothii".

Gasp as I dun under engineered scandals, then slide by with the sainted aroma of posies emanating from my backside!

    ****

(And shouldn't, really, it be eminating, not emanating? Just seems more right, doesn't it? There's another Free Thought for you. No, no: free of charge, my good woman.)

And yet, I really do appreciate a decent mad idea. I really do. Why not? All ideas are merely point on a greater distribution of sanity. Shall I damn that awkward, flagellating 5% left-tail, skewing out wildly into a darkness on which no human eyes ever ought to descend? Shall my thoughts fall only on the crystalline righteousness of common sense so obvious that a dog might possess it? No, and no. We are here for the purpose of science, which is to say ideas, and if once in a while we produce a meme so utterly corrupt that we need to turn the flamethowers on it - well, that's all right, lad. Never you mind. No harm done. Honestly, who else would have raised a pedestal, I ask you, to a member's notion that leaning people masturbate, and that the human body represents a pyramid?! Who among my esteemed competitors has raised a fictitious nation? ("We absolutely exist!") Who of us has turned the Encyclopedia into a roiling whore-house of pulchritudinous chaos?

Whoops. Never you mind that last bit. But in short: a little chaos never hurt anybody.

And also in short: a vote for Geoff is a vote for having a lad that just doesn't care if people get a little pissed off. But for a lot pissed off, we break out the fire hoses.

No, no: not for that, silly. Honestly, you people.

I nominate myself for Free Thoughts, because I can't resist a bargain and I'm completely free of thoughts.

    Eh.. why not?
S&M denied being Dutch though, he had some issues going on I suppose.

    Revolution? Nah..
I would pretty much be on top of things, but I think I would be somewhat more laid back than the average mod.

    Whistles* Thanks Stryder.
    And spidergoat's a he.
My mental view of the forum changes everyday.

Personally, I don't get why somebody would want to be a mod. All the fun will go away. Responsibility.
