    Yes, you said that.
Additional unsupported assertions don't provide any support whatsoever for the original unsupported claim.

    What nonsense people believe.
It's not the government, it's the penguins!
    Sneaky little bastards...

As it should be. Like I said before society just isn't ready, for obvious reasons. If one is demanding proof then the burden of proof lies upon the one seeking it.

In other words you're convinced [sup]1[/sup] but you've actually got nothing.

    What utter crap.
The burden of proof always lies with those making the claim; and you can't provide that.

1 But you don't, contrary to your claim, know.

Yes, I'm sure that seems a bit unpleasant, but that's just the way it is.

Truth is, not only are there other civilizations living on other planets but there are human civilizations as well. And not only throughout the Universe but in our galaxy as well. This is not an opinion or even a belief. It is even more than a knowing. It's a complete realization. It doesn't matter whether anyone agrees or not, it still doesn't change this simple truth.

If you're truly interested in looking for the proof you need, then given that mainstream society has no direct hard physical evidence, then you are going to have to discover this on your own. There's just no getting around this at the present moment.

It's the way you believe it is.
    There's a difference.
    A vast and significant one.

    And you're wrong again.
It's not a truth, but it is a belief (or an opinion).
    (And factually unsupported).

In other words (once more) you have no proof. Nor evidence.
  10. ForrestDean Registered Senior Member

For you it is yes. But again it doesn't really matter. It's not really a big deal anyway.

Also, the fact that there are debates and speculations about their existence is further evidence that society is still extremely primitive. So when one asks if there is life on other planets, then given that the global society is still very primitive and infantile I answer with great compassion, yes.

All you're doing here is demonstrating that you don't know what "fact", "evidence, and "true" mean.

It's evidence that we - you included - don't know and don't have any evidence.

Your answer is also not demonstrably true: it's a(n unsupported) belief.
  12. ForrestDean Registered Senior Member

Then I bid you well. May you find the answers your are looking for.
  13. Dywyddyr Penguinaciously duckalicious. Valued Senior Member

And I bid you a decent education.
But it looks like you wouldn't accept one.

The following is a convincing argument against the government having known for many decades that we are not alone.

The government has never been able to keep a secret for one decade: For many decades is a ridiculous claim. Examples:

The Teapot Dome scandal of the Harding administration.

Our nuclear weapon secrets of the 1950's discovered by the USSR very early.

    The Nixon Watergate scandal.

There are probably others I have either forgotten or never heard of.

BTW: The US intelligence community & some Think Tanks have successfully kept secrets until there was no longer a reason to keep them.

NASA research gives guideline for future alien life:

Astronomers searching the atmospheres of alien worlds for gases that might be produced by life can't rely on the detection of just one type, such as oxygen, ozone, or methane, because in some cases these gases can be produced non-biologically, according to extensive simulations by researchers in the NASA Astrobiology Institute's Virtual Planetary Laboratory.

The researchers carefully simulated the atmospheric chemistry of alien worlds devoid of life thousands of times over a period of more than four years, varying the atmospheric compositions and star types. "When we ran these calculations, we found that in some cases, there was a significant amount of ozone that built up in the atmosphere, despite there not being any oxygen flowing into the atmosphere," said Shawn Domagal-Goldman of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. "This has important implications for our future plans to look for life beyond Ea

Well i could go on about this subject from a different point, I would like to say that a barrier exist that keeps Aliens from making random contacts, one is that no alien can leave their space ship, this makes it very difficult for aliens to show them selves, not that they are trying to hide or would hide. its is just a simple fact of science that they can not get out and walk around. To beat this barrier aliens would need to take a human on board their space craft which would in most cases cause the death of a earth life form or cause a human to be very sick.
alien contact is a difficult procedure even for aliens, stabilizing a alien life form at some bunker would end in failure as stabilizing chemical formation would be impossible using human tech. the aliens will have the predominance in knowledge on the issue as they would have already traveled interstellar distance successfully.

There are certain points that define the confines of life in another solar system just as there are confines that establishes order for life within our solar system one of those confines is the background motion for chemistry, or the prime rate of chemical motion for the solar system, for our solar system that is about 25,000 different rates of chemical reaction.

And frankly you can espect that the base unit for life such as gene bases a,g,t,c are not the same as gene bases for aliens, even so you can espect that aliens have different size cells similar to humans as well you can espect that aliens that are within our local group of stars has some background physiology simular to what we see on earth.

Just a few points of refference.
