(Not sure if I'm posting in the appropriate section. Mods, feel free to relocate as you see fit)

This is far and away the most fascinating documentary I've seen in ages.

A South African man forms a relationship with a brainiac female octopus, snorkelling in the sea close to his home, visiting her (almost?) every day for a year or more.

And makes a few discoveries along the way.

Oh, and I'll never eat octopus again.

(You'll find the whole thing on Netflix, I think)

octopus ... probably smarter than a cat or dog & with personality attributes that are similar in some respects to humans
they should not be eaten by humans just the same as people dont roast puppies & kittens

Lol! Smarter than our prime minister anyway.

Well, not to ruin the show or anything but here's a tantalising snippet.

Our brainiac protagonist (the female octopus) is being pursued by a bastard shark with murder in mind. All seems lost. The filmmaker refuses to step in and save her on the grounds of some sanctimonious Star Trek "non-interference" policy. She's almost at the shore now, no place to hide, and the shark is closing in . . .

    Aaarrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Then what does she do?

She just gets out the water!

    Told ya she was clever

Now wait till you see her hunt lobsters . . .

P.S. Your post is hard to read with that camouflaged font. Are you an octopus too?
