Mother in denial

Reminds me of that rather remarkable story from the US Civil war; some girl ended up getting wounded by a stray bullet during a battle, and when they checked her out in hospital they found she was pregnant; she swore black and blue to her mother that she hadn't had sex. Now in the same battle there was a young soldier who was shot through the scrotum, and had one of his balls ripped off. The theory at the time was that after striking the soldier in the nuts, the bullet continued in its flight and hit the girl, who became pregnant.

14 is Age of Consent (not really, but it's easier to think of it that way) with Romeo and Juliet Laws in the US. 13 aint too far off.

 

I had no idea people with any sort of knowledge still believed this. It never happened. Never ever, and it's not possible. You think sperm is so bad ass it can cling on a bullet, through fabric and going however fast it was going anyway? Not a chance.

 

A girl I knew in high school said she got pregnant by sitting on a pool of semen in a bathroom. No one bekieved her, but the doctor said, while a rarity and probably unlikely, was actually a plausible story. She aborted the pregnancy, but she still claims that it would have been a virgin birth.

 

I heard that as an intro to a Tom Waits song.
