Hello.

When people attempt to deny evolution they occasionally mention, "the missing link." However it has occurred me that there may not just be a gap in the fossil record, but also a gap in life on Earth. For example if evolution occurs slowly, taking millions of years, where are the intermediate species on Earth? There should still be, "missing links" walking the Earth.

Round up a billion people for a height survey

Use the most accurate measurement device you can find

Plot out a Bell curve

Put a magnifying glass and run from the shortest to the tallest

Somewhere on the curve you will find a tiny minute missing height

Only as a example say there is a hight missing between 5 foot 10.0002 inches and 5 foot 10.0004 inches

Would you call that a missing link?

Do you think examining the other 6 + billion people you will find THE missed link

What you are looking for is in general a myth

Evolution eliminates all prior forms as well as any so called link (ie a type of form showing both characteristics of the post form and new form)

That sort of transition would require a fairly abrupt change

Evolution is far more subtle

Each 7 + billion humans is in transition

As is every other life form
