I did indeed. I was responding to Sandy's claims that most of us are happy with the status quo, and pointing out that the vaunted virtues of our health care system are highly conditional. What is the exact nature of your question? Why what? Why is it like that? Why is that a bad thing? Why should we care?

I have always received excellent health care, as has my family. From stitches to surgeries, from preventative care to physical rehabilitation, from pre-natal to end-care, we have been very fortunate to always have access to highly trained medical professionals and well-equipped facilities. At the same time, I have excellent insurance. My UnitedHealthcare card is like Willy Wonka's Golden Ticket. Now, if it could just be excellent for everyone…
That is a tragedy, and one that should be corrected. Unfortunately, I don't think Americans are the ones that can address that problem. So long as we view health care as an industry, we are doomed to an economic caste system. And economic caste systems – in one form or another – are precisely the reason so many worldwide have no access at all to health care.
That's correct. Only the whole world acting together could address that problem. Unfortunately, it is all about money. Resources msut be distributed and administered. And, so far, we haven't figured out a system to better distribute those resources. One may try socialism and communism, but even then, there are issues when you are dealing with large governments, such as high intermediation, slow speed in making decisions, slow speed in acting on those decisions, corruption, redundance, high costs associated with many of those problems and so on.

It's funny that FoxNews called the movie "brilliant and uplifting," so now all of the Moore-bashers had go even further into the right-wing wilderness to find support. Also, if you read the review, it's all about Moore, not his movie. In fact, what they do mention of the movie is only what appears in the trailer. I wonder if the reviewer even saw it.
