This is a discussion thread for mecha animes such as the Gundam series, Code Geass series, Macross series .etc. Personally my favorite is Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 ( Also known as Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 ). I am watching Gundam Wing, I watched Gundam SEED/Destiny, Gundam OO, Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch ( Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion ) and Macross Frontier. I'm not dissing anime, just stating my opinion that I cant get into it. I remember a long time ago a friend recomended "Akira" and I just couldnt get into it but for some reason I like "Heavy Metal".
There is a few common things in every Gundam series I have seen, the examples I will use are from Gundam SEED/Destiny 1. Always Space Colonies vs Earth ( Except for Gundam OO, it is Celestial Being vs the world ). It really depends on your taste and personality. I like anime, only if they are decent, that's why I haven't watched a variety and most of the old ones. I like anime, but I refuse to watch the English Dubs, unless its absolutely necessary. I watch the Japanese version with English subtitles. I find the Japanese voice actors are much better.
