Did I miss something? Has McCain had a stroke? Or has his face always been like that? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Yes, you missed something. And no, he didn't have a stroke (a lump there isn't a sign of a stroke anyway) and no, it hasn't always looked that way. He had cancer in that area and the doctors are convinced they removed the entire tumor. There's been no sign of it in his body since.
sadly won't know for sure for a while i heard you have to be cancer free for 5 years before they declare you cancer free
well the five i heard was linked to breast cancer so it might be different for the kind of cancer mccain had
No you both missed something, that is damage from the years that he was a resident of the Hanoi Hilton, it is the result of discussions with the North Vietnamese, a practical demonstration of something called torture.
pjdude1219 interesting. So was mine, it came out of a discussion we were having because my mum has (had?) breast cancer and we were wondering when she would be concidered "cured" rather than just in remission or no sign of cancer or whatever
I suppose you do know that his last operation was almost 8 years ago and that at the time the doctors said the melanomia was not related to one he had earlier??
No, one side of his face (including the eye) looked droopy. I knew he had cancer surgery, but I thought it was on his neck not his face. my bad.

John McCain Captured. Near Hanoi, North Vietnam: October 27, Radio Hanoi reported that an American pilot identified as Lieutenant Commander John Sydney McCain, U.S.N., was rescued from Truc Bac Lake near Hanoi, October 26, after parachuting from his crippled aircraft, which had been hit by North Vietnamese ground fire. Do, you know anything about history? You just proved that you don't or even have the intellengence to do simple research in to it. Yes, we know who is full of bull here.
John McCain's capture and imprisonment began on October 26, 1967. He was flying his twenty-third bombing mission over North Vietnam, when his A-4E Skyhawk was shot down by a missile over Hanoi.[33][34] McCain fractured both arms and a leg, and then nearly drowned, when he parachuted into Trúc Bạch Lake in Hanoi.[33] After he regained consciousness, a crowd attacked him, crushed his shoulder with a rifle butt, and bayoneted him;[33] he was then transported to Hanoi's main Hoa Lo Prison, nicknamed the "Hanoi Hilton".[34] McCain being pulled from Truc Bach Lake in Hanoi and becoming a POW[35] on October 26, 1967.Although McCain was badly wounded, his captors refused to treat his injuries, instead beating and interrogating him to get information.[36] Only when the North Vietnamese discovered that his father was a top admiral did they give him medical care[36] and announce his capture. His status as a prisoner of war (POW) made the front pages of The New York Times[37] and The Washington Post.[38]
Yes John McCain had the shit beaten out of him,but we are comparing before his surgery: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! and John McCain after his surgery: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! and John McCain now: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Being tortured as a POW has nothing to do with it as all of 3 faces stem decades after that, so a comparison between these faces already covers the countroll case of torture back in 'nom, but is subject to studying of the effects of his cancer surgery to his facial structure.
The other day he vowed to "veto all beers". I respect his service, but I fear he's not mentally competent to be president.
Hush, Buff! Yes, I certainly knew about his war/POW history - my point was that it had nothing to do with his melanoma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now go back to sleep as i suggested before!
And his melanoma has nothing to due with his drooping eye and the bulge on his cheek. It has every thing to do with the loving care, and respect, afforded to him, as a POW, by the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. So hush junior, when you don't know anything about what you are speaking about. Besides it's time to change your diapers, and your late for your nap.
Who cares if he was beat up in Vietnam? The Americans were killing millions for being communists. They were, as usual in another people's country, telling them how they should live their lives and what they should believe in. Serves them right, whatever they got. As for McCain, I'd keep a close eye on his VP, he won't last out a term.
