I'm stealing this thread idea from another forum. Make a comment about what the person above you is listening to. Then post a link (if you can) to what you're listening to. The idea is to get people listening to different stuff, who knows maybe you'll find a new favorite artist in the process. And yes, the idea is to listen to the last link before you make a comment! The Weakerthans - Plea From a Cat Named Virtue Go!
I really don't like rock, its got a beat to it...but its not my style at all -------- My own video I did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIaGr9FMKb8
I don't like it, the beat is overwhelming everything, not melodic at all, and the lyrics are too sugary, the voice - popsy. ------------ Ēnu kaleidoskops - Miega zilonis (Elephant of sleep, a lullaby) http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3sxfq_nu-kaleidoskops-live-27112007-pt3_music
anyways I do kind of like it, celtic music is very pleasing to ears, but 1/4.5 th of the video was a pretty long starting up for the orchestra and such, I do however appreciate the fact that they do it "raw" style...that said, the voices seem to not be in sync with the music and their level of loudness does not match either. Anyways...here it is Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Akvarium: Gorod (very old Soviet Song) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxza2m08D-c
Celtic? :bugeye: It's not celtic at all. --- Anyway, nice song, melody and all, but it's too nostalgic and a nostalgy I can't connect to. I mostly like Akvarium, but it's no match for Nautilus. --- A song from a Latvian film Breathe deeply "They danced one summer" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdN2JcHwars
I like the song. The man's voice reminds me of Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. Don't like the video much. She looks like a child singing with an adult male. Kinda odd. But the song is nice. Here's one of my favorites. I'm not usually fond of guys with higher pitched voices, but.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bd2B6SjMh_w
Avatar your last one was very...its like this feeling in my stomach of "naiveness" of old time songs, that naiveness stings me. And the girl's eyes scare me.... Orleander...your's is psychodelic, too much of black voice for me, they got that "wolf" singing to it, making words with very long ending.... pteranodon http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_cpLBM0blg
I liked the lyrics and singing, but again that awful beat ruining everything... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! -------------- The Creatures - Exterminating Angel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cu0DL67iLHY
I like the beat. The drummer had an interesting set up in that video. The female vocalist has a lower voice than I expected, not much of a range in pitch (at least in that song). It's not bad, but I wouldn't call it a favorite of mine. --- Crosby, Stills and Nash - "Wooden Ships" http://www.noolmusic.com/blogs/YouTube_Music_Videos_60s_70s_-_Crosby_Stills_Nash_Wooden_Ships.shtml
Groovy song, slow start, but I like. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! --- Fields of the Nephilim - Blue water (One of my fav music videos too) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HVWn7zaRjAA
It doesn't do much for me, rather unusual but weak in lyrics. Put the Lime In The Coconut by Neilson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8IG7vu16Fug
Agree about the weak lyrics. --- Your song is totally weird! On drugs! I don't understand a thing! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! --- Siouxsie and the Banshees - Eve white, Eve black. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqKzQ8yeL4Q
Well, what can I say. That girl isn't much of a singer is she. The music? , isn't much better than her either. Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6txOvK-mAk&feature=related
I love her voice! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! She's a punk rocker from as early as 75. I like those primal melodies. --- Moonlight sonata is one of my favourite pieces of music, love it! There is one cool version performed by Theatres Des Vampires with the words of Les Litanies de Satan (a 19th century poem by Charles Baudelaire). ---
Ah, I finally found the one I searched for, one of my favourite songs. By The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath A Cloud. http://video.google.com/videoplay?d...l=3&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1 (mouse over to press play)
a southern ballad. I don't know if that's a guitar she has or not. It seems so small. She also sings "Fancy" which is also a ballad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZt5Q-u4crc
Oh sorry. lol I'm conflicted. I loved the starting of it, but as soon as they started singing, I didn't. I think its something people would march to.
