MAC Problems...sigh!

Howdy all, not been very active lately due to an on-going set of MAC issues but hopefully i'm 99% there.

Just one thing. To cut a long story short, we have a MAC Mini (personally i hate them, probably because i'm not used to them), but anyhoo...running MAC 10.3.9 (not sure what animal that is) where i have installed a new hard drive, works fine except some sites such as Mozilla, Facebook, are the ones i've found so far do not display correctly.

It's as if there is a plug-in, update missing but i have updated Safari until there are no further updates and still this persists.

I cannot install Firefox, Opera, Chrome due to some mounting error.

VERY new to MAC's as you can probably tell but any help here would be graciously received.

Also when going to YouTube, either via Google or typing the address in myself, Safari 'Unexpectedly' crashes and closes Safari.
