Re: Shutup, that movie was great! Some of the scenes it definatly isn't Elijah Woods there, especially scenes where to can't see his face. Some others were done by placing characters closer to the camera then the hobbits, creating a forced perspective of the hobbits being small. Get the DVD, it tells you how they managed it. Or better yet, wait for the special edition that comes out next month.
Quote from the chat thor and I are having: -You're so pretty when you're faithful to me!!: sorry man. I loved LOTR. I watch it, like every week. It was very fast paced. The acting was brilliant. Directing was brilliant. Camera shots were amazing, a model for any amateur movie I could ever make. This movie has it all, for someone like me. And the rest....come on And I was talking to like 5 other people (including Avatar) and I was taking a timed online test
I assure you I am not lying. You are the one putting bias into your post by not including my FULL responce. Anyway, I've seen so much better than LOTR. Its hardly a masterpeice
It seems like a nostalgia based film. Some of it was really good but mostly as additions to the book. I hear that the battle at helm deep is going to be HUGE in the next one though, like the biggest ever on film or something.
If you read the book, then you know that they left some stuff out, Tom Bambodil and the first meeting with elves.
Tom Bombadil was funkin awesome. I wish they hadn't cut him outPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Man, the second time through those books Tom Bombadil really pissed me off. That man is arrogant as fuck. Which is how I started to feel about Gandalf the second time through too but I thought what's-his-face did a really good job with him in the movie. Sort of saved the character, way less fucko.
I'm sorry, but a chubby man who wears a yellow hat and jumps through the forest singing about his wife is like, amazingly perfect. What more could you wantPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
If you recall from the book, the first meeting with the elves was important to the plot. They added so much other stuff, but left out these scenes.
Loved it. Personally I think I needs to be about an hour longer each episode. Few would sit through that though.
About the Tom Bombadil part..I hear it's going to be added in, probably in the special edition packs that effectively steal people's money. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! And the parts of Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, and Gimli were actually played by midgets/children (dunno which), when taking backshots or perspective shots. I also think Ian McKellan had been standing on a platform during the scenes with Bilbo inside the hobbit hole... True, especially about the last part. Have you seen the trailer for TTT, where they show part of it? It's going to kick so much ass, "I can feel it". (to quote Legolas) Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
