Life in Britain 'declining' 04/09/2006 Britain is a worse place to live now than it was 20 years ago, according to almost half of respondents to a nationwide poll. Lack of respect and crime were given as the main reasons for the decline by the 47 per cent who felt that British life had deteriorated since 1986. Less than a quarter believed it had improved. Almost half of those who felt the country had gone downhill cited a lack of respect and crime, while 31 per cent mentioned the cost of living. Terrorism and immigration were each blamed by 28 per cent of respondents to the poll, conducted for BBC1's Six O'Clock News. What do most immigrants do? Do the jobs the native population won't do (cleaning, etc). In England no-one here wants to drive the public transport buses, so they get Polish drivers.
Oh how true! And I'm not an "old git" complaining how good the old days were. Comming back to the UK after a trip abroad, and you really notice this.

The birthrate of native Europeans has fallen sharply since the 1960s. The usual measure is total fertility rate (TFR), the number of children an average woman will bear in her lifetime. Yeah, which would explain why there's so many single mothers these days who pay their kids no mind and let them run free, winding up in gangs, jail, foster homes, et all.
