    5. I know a lot of chemists (and physicists), most are at least tolerable, some very much so. I am a scientist, but not a sucker!

    OK, I was just wondering whether your background was in physics or chemistry or something else - sometimes it helps to have an idea. But anyway, not astronomy, by the look of it.

    And you can't offer a rebuttal of the good Prof, evidently. So I think I will take your unkind ad-hom remarks about Wright with a pinch of salt.

    It was not me that took the thread away from science with an unsupported personal attack on a university professor of astronomy.

    But I agree, enough of this tomfoolery.
