And as for Norton...

It touches everything in your PC and makes using file sharing progs tough... actually, Norton is a very useful program, but like and virus software, it makes things tough... Try booting your computer with no progs running in the background and then installing KaZaa or whatever progs you want to use...

Norton is a bitch and if you want progs to work write, all its "tentacles" must be cut off in order for you to get any sort of proper install...

That direct link to the latest valid KaZaa Lite I gave in the tenth post in this thread seems to be working still.

Now, why would I care to spell her name right? All I care about her is her bodacious rack and fine ass. Other than that, she can just shut the hell up and get me a beer.

BTW, has everyone here seen "The Mystery of Britney's Breasts" at Liquid Generation? Truly a masterwork.

I do, though you need large a large share to get in usually. A good list is the dyndns one (I forget the exact URL).
Porn doesn't give you viruses as long as it's a video or image. Don't open files that appear to be porn, but have a .exe extension.
FYI, DC++ is not the slightest bit illegal. And what you're implying is people who use computers should actually have briains.

Also, DC is the most 'unmonitored' and I've only ever seen 2 viruses from stuff I've downloaded from it.
DC has it all.

I've heard that there can be links embedded in mpeg streams that can do weird things. Opening up the browser and the like. Windows Media Player 9 had a recent patch that removed this ability somewhat.

You can embed homepages in MP3s & MPEGs, but most players don't launch them automatically like WMP would. It was a vulnerability that they patched. On an unpatched system the URL could be a malicious one that takes you to a page that infects you (If you're using IE).

By the by, what's a good DL site for music (I don't mind paying if it is secure). I need a large selection of old and new at a reasonable price

I've never had a problem with it. Just got to be careful with what you download. I don't download executables often. (read extremely rarely)
