I just started watching this show last week. Anybody else hear of it and/or watch it? I find it to be oddly compelling. ~String
It sucked at first...seemed "forced" to me, and the dialog wasn't well written....but like mold, it kinda grows on ya....especially with the writer's strike keeping other shows out of production.
It does indeed grow on you. Overall, an intriguing show. Alas, the start of Season Two is pretty lame....
I did not care for it in the beginning. My wife liked the first season. But it grows on you. I enjoyed the first 3 episodes the second season that is running now. You know, this can happen here if Russia and Iran join forces. (Read Epicenter by Joel Rosenberg)
It is good, however there are a lot of loose ends to tie up. I want to know if the rest of the world was involved in the nuclear attack
From everything I've read, the answer is no. This kind of annoys me. Look: 26 cities nuked is a big deal and the USA would certainly be devistated, but COME ONE, this one lone city is like an island? Have you ever been to Kansas? Sure, towns are spaced out about ten to fifteen miles apart with farm land in between, but they make it seem like it's the one lone island in a sea of destruction. 26 cities are a big deal, but the emergency broadcast system is purposely decentralized and hardened against nuclear attack, unless a thousand nukes hit all over the USA then the system would continue to function. Furthermore, there were entire states that were left unhit, most state capitals weren't hit, and none of our allies were hit. Lots of oversight. ~String
