When we went to GA, we saw the shrimpers picking them out as they dumped the shrimp. They were all dead due to the crushing weight of the shrimp. Asians were just standing around waiting to pick them up and take them home.

Who is Dick Cheney ? Is he related to Lon Chaeney and Lon Cheney Junior?
The just don't make them like that any more.

I take it the Pope's toilet was about him washing himself.

Does anyone know whether jellyfish are kosher. What does the old testament have to say ? Were there any in the Red Sea when Moses did his stuff ?

They should be ok. They aren't bottom feeders.
Are there any fresh water jellies?

That's a mighty good answer Miss Ellie . In the "cowboy " films of my mis-spent youth, Miss Ellie was the one who spent all her time making bluberry pies for her kinfolk.

Have you considered the consequences of a bottom feeder in the Pope's toilet ?

I saw a nautilaus in an expensive pet/aquarium store once. I bet they would have one. I assume they are hard to keep though.
Does the Atlanta aquarium have them?

    As regards Jellyfish and Jews:

To be kosher, a fish must have both fins and scales. The lack of either characteristic renders that species of fish unclean. Examples of unkosher fish include shark, catfish and eels. All shellfish, such as crabs, lobster, and shrimp are not kosher. All sea mammals, such as dolphins, whales and seals are not kosher. All other sea animals, such as octopus, squid and jellyfish are also not kosher.

Seaweed and other sea plant life are all kosher.

There are two fish that are controversial: Swordfish and sturgeon. Both of these have scales as young fish, but lose them later in life. Most Orthodox rabbis rule that these fish are not kosher; many Conservative rabbis rule that they are kosher.
