There are essentially two general schools of thought represented here. One is that it's a matter of rules. The other is that it's a matter of degrees.

In this case, degrees of offense, perceived.

If I must offer an opinion, it will be that those who have understanding can reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human number, and its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
