United Nations officials implored Israel to reverse its decision Friday to seal all border crossings with the Gaza Strip, warning that the violence in the region and cutoff of crucial supplies for 1.4 million Palestinians was provoking a humanitarian crisis.

The Defense Ministry closed all border crossings with Gaza on Friday and prevented the delivery of a United Nations aid shipment. Only humanitarian cases given Defense Minister Ehud Barak's personal approval would be allowed through, the ministry said.

"If milk is low in Gaza, the minister will be asked to approve a milk shipment, and it will enter," a Defense Ministry spokesman said.

"Such action cuts off the population from much-needed fuel supplies used to pump water and generate electricity to homes and hospitals," UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said. "If this situation endures, the closure will also cause further shortages of food, medical and relief items in the Gaza Strip."

There is no choice against a military occupation. What would an occupied American do?

So I assume if your country was occupied, you would immediately run to your occupiers to make peace and renounce your land.

Again not germane to the situation, the situation is that the Palestinians won't sit down and make a peace, they continue a war, and expect the people that they are at war against to supply them the food and means to make war.

They have called for the tune, now lets see if they can dance to it, make war on their own power, and food resources, it you can't make a war with your own resources don't make war, lets see just how important their children are to them, what's the difference if they die as a suicide bomber or starve to death.

Ah so if America was outgunned and outnumbered and forced into becoming a ghetto prison, all Americans would immediately embrace their occupiers rather than fight for freedom. And you'd be the first. Because the US only fights those who are weaker. Correct?

Well we sure the hell wouldn't expect to be supported by the people we chose to fight.

You mean like the Iraqi oil currency being immediately converted to dollar currency after Iraq invasion?

Stealing barrels of oil while bombing civilians?

    Nah never would happen.

The Palestinians are doing what any occupied people would do.

Within a prison there are no choices.

Again what does Iraq have to do with Palestine.

The Palestinians are stupid, they want the people they are trying to kill to feed them, :roflmao: provide them with electricity so they can run their shops to make Qusams,:roflmao: and now they want the Israelis to have pity on their children?,

No let see just how important their children are to them, to me they must not be to important they use them a suicide bombers, what is the difference if they blow themselves up or starve to death? the fact that they can take Israeli children with them.

They did not choose to be occupied or cut off from education or employment.
And why starve them? Why not just gas them?

Even if HAMAS steps down, the Palestinians will not forget this.

Of course they didn't choose to be occupied. They chose to attempt to occupy Israel--based on an over-inflated 1967 sense of natural ability.

    Natural selection trumps rhetorical fantasy.

    Dreaming is your natural state.

G, you're right on, yet again.

as for the UN, they should stick to filling Human Rights comissions with brutal dictator states, and not stopping genocides, instead of having fun with the whipping boy.

Ugh, there is going to be alot of unnecessary human suffering. Hamas really screwed these folks by forcing Israel to value their lives more than their own. Good luck to them. I wonder if Israel will turn over the remains to Fatah once the dust settles?
