I have no problem comparing Israel with Iran on some common standard of expectation and responsibility.

I wonder if Israel has forsworn the use of nukes, in its preparations to prevent "a nuclear holocaust" by a country that has none. The US, which is centrally involved, has formally rewritten its policies to allow such a first strike against a non-nuclear enemy, and Israel has been useful in playing bad cop in the past.

There are many irrelevant categories in which the 2 countries are the same. Both love soccer, both have people in them (men and women!), etc.

Do you need an official written or oral statement? In every war since Israel's existence there hasn't been even a hint of threat to use nukes. Not even in 1973 when a bunch of piece of shit Arab armies attacked Israel in surprise from all directions on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar when most of Israel was in synagogues, and actually advanced inside Israel proper.

 

Israel has been reported to have gone on "nuclear alert" - despite having few weapons, at the time - at the nadir of the Yom Kippur War. There haven't been any such threatening wars since Israel developed more significant weapons. Coincidence ?

Iran has reason to be envious of Israel's invulnerability, and possibly the penalty-free aggressions and expansions of territory as well.

btw: interesting choice of words for the 1973 advances. "Inside Israel itself" was it ? So much for the 1967 borders, then.
