    ISIS executed a Russian today.

    http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/02/middleeast/isis-russian-beheading-claim/

Given ISIS has blown up a Russian civilian airliner and now executed a Russian, one would think Putin would begin attacking ISIS in earnest instead of playing economic tit for tac with Turkey which in the end will further weaken Mother Russia.

So what will it take for Putin to get serious about fighting ISIS?

Honestly, this sound like something out of a 1970's B-Grade Bond movie ripoff.

LOL...honestly? The fact is this tit for tat nonsense will hurt Russia's economy. Instead of all this puffery, Russia would be better served by addressing real problems.

Nothing. Vladimir Putin is looking for a world war in order to restore Russian glory.

It wasn't so long ago that Andrei Kolesnikov and Andrew S. Weiss↱ of Reuters asserted, "Russia’s three-year electoral cycle has gotten started with a bang."

Masha Gessen↱ of Reuters headlined, "Vladimir Putin wants his seat back at the world’s table. How far will he go to get it?"

    Then again, that was September.

The idea seems absurd, but Putin is himself absurd; and he is clearly itching for a fight.

The question is how big a fight.

And who knows? Maybe Americans will elect a Republican to the White House, and then we'll get to find out.
