Do you really think this?? Why?

I, personally, think it looks as though the Royal family is synthetic, i.e. it's not natural, (given that they have to be created.)

I can only assume someone has decided it would be better to model the Human society on insects. All of the societies overflowing into one family could be the way to go, but I don't think so.

The royal family isn't voted in, it's heireditry (or how ever that's spelt).

So the royal family isn't the peoples royal family. The system sucks and blows at the same time

I would rather have a President chosen by the people than a royal leader because, who knows? What if it all came down to one retarted family member named Bubbah who instructs that everyone eat with their hands and plays with play dough like him?

Only the government can make people do that and the government has more power than royalty. Although royalty does have to give the final word on any new laws, they will pass it regardless as government can over throw the royals.

So in the UK Parliament can pass any law it wishes. If the queen refuses to agree, bye bye queen

im in completeagreement with Thors post. Why should the British taxpayers subsidise a bunch of useless good for nothing freeloaders who only have an exalted position by accident of birth, they have priveledge but dont seem to see it,have no idea about the real world and cost of living etc. I say roll on the revolution and the return of 'Madam Guillotine '

Apparantly the royal family is oine of the most dysfunctional families in the world. They see each other most at dinner time and they hardly speak.

Who's up for starting a revolt and overthrowing the monarchy?

Get rid of the Royal family, you might as well. It's probably one of the last things your country has got which identifies it from the rest of the world. The royal family has lost the old powers it used to hold, but it is still a token of British tradition , history and heritage and it gives you good diplomatic and PR throughout the world. I would imagine that the royal family brings you more money fron tourism that it costs to maintain, just a guess though.

You wanna get rid of it, go ahead, but I think it's about the only thing your country has to offer, the UK doesn't have much to shout about these days apart from having a PM who is a puppet for GW Bush, a PM who says you live in a democracy yet wont give you a referendum on europe.....sounds like fun
