Everyone eventually has a religious experience with a computer. The gods of the eternal algorithms are themselves the chosen ones. All else are mere users, subject to banishment from the paradise of all play and no work, and sporadically reminded of that heinous original sin, the eating of the Apple, by divine providence, that punishes the ingrates with plagues of worms and viruses, and those thunderous messages from on high, reminding us of our mortal nature, in every strange and unintelligible format that can be universally translated as: Operator Error!

And, verily, despite the shadow cast on Eve, this injunction is gender neutral.
