If UFO's were real, we would all see them. (Joke statement) just to point out you are talking nonsense. Even though I don't believe in ghosts, some people need to work on their deduction skills.
I have seen what you might call a ghost... a face of a man when I was younger and got my first house. When I was in the kitchen, a face of a man wavered towards mine. He was a black man, but he faded just as quick as he appeared in my mind. The key point here, is that the event was totally ethereal. I cannot say it was an event which somehow my mind didn't make up. Perhaps I was undergoing elevated stress levels with moving house and my brains chemistry was all over the shop.
But, many people do see UFO's (Unidentified Flying Objects). Seeing visiting alien spacecrafts is another story altogether. Yes, I can see that.
No one said anything about UFO's being alien. Your logic sucks and you know it. You can't say everyone has to see a phenomenon to make it true. That is simply untrue.
Then, what point are you trying to make? I never said that. You should try reading what I actually said rather than making up your own words and then creating an argument around that.
You can't follow a simple statement? Do I need to break it down into some sort of easily digestible baby language? A phenomenon doesn't need to be proven to be seen by everyone. You don't need everyone to see that a train derails and crashes and causes world headlines. Not everyone see's that event but there is enough evidence to suggest it happened. Just as with ghosts, we don't need everyone to see one to make it true. Saying if ghosts where true then everyone would see it, based on the faulty premise that something only needs to be true to be seen by everyone. This doesn't make sense as an argument and you know it doesn't.
I've never seen a ghost live, but I have seen many of them in pictures and videos. Someday I hope to get lucky. This spring I plan to stay at the Stanley Hotel in Colorado. They are reputedly haunted and offer 5 hour ghost hunting tours. We'll see what happens. http://paranormal.about.com/od/hauntedplaces/ig/World-s-Most-Haunted-Place/The-Stanley-Hotel.htm
My mother often goes to these ghost hunting weekends. She claims she has had strange experiences. Personally, I think if you are in the dark expecting something to happen, to be fed hysteria concerning possibly the history of a place, associated to something malevolent in it's past, surrounded with like-minded people is a recipe for delusional experiences. I would never say that to her though Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
No one said that, those are your words. Exactly, but there is no evidence for ghosts. You're confused, the former is not the same thing as the latter.
By stating ''If they were real, we would all see them'' must imply ''to be real, we must all see them'' Do you not understand that my statement is synonymous to yours? If not, I think you are trolling.
It means for your statement to be true, mine must, because they are completely synonymous. If you don't believe me, we can take this to the language subforum, I'm sure there will be overwhelming agreement that the second statement is just a rephrased form of your own.
Think about it harder... you are the one making the statement, saying ''if they were real, then we would all see them.'' So... we would all see them, if they were real, right? So to be real, we must all see them. If we don't all see them, they cannot be real. This is why I questioned your logic, you don't seem to have good deduction skills.
