my wife took photography and fashion design in college, she used to do alot of nature photography, like with flowers, trees, animals, general wildlife. but she has not taken any photos for awhile.

i will post some of her shots someday on here.

i like that dragonfly. apart from the background hurts my eyes a bit. but the actual point of focus is great.

what species/type of dragonfly is that?

i recently bought 2 cameras at work. I've always wanted to get into photography, but I know nothing. I think I have a good "eye", but I need to learn the basics.

The best way to learn is trial and error i guess. Just go out and do it, you will learn as you go along.

do you mean liek what angle and vantage its taken from? or where in the world it was taken from?

i would say, at ground level, near a water feature possibly on a beach but near fresh water?. and right up in his little face. close?

    peace.

Do you use a digital camera, and if so, how many mega-pixels? I just bought a compact and a full frame 4 mp for $5 each.

    that pic is amazing clear

I use a Nikon Coolpix 8700, 8mp. Nothing near professional but a good amateur camera.

Wow the first insect was a crisp pic.

I like photography as an on-again off-again hobby...people are my favourite subject followed closely by landscapes/city shots.

"Heathen Devil Beastie" lurking amid the somewhat unkempt area next to my tummater plants - he likes eating the leaves off 'em. LoL
I took this from about 50 feet away with a Sony DSC-H2
